I was flipping through the new Lonny last night and completely fell in love with this Hudson, NY home belonging to interior designer Juan Carretero and his partner David Usborne. I feel like so many published rooms today look like tear outs from a Pottery Barn catalog, and while some their spreads are quite beautiful, they completely lack personality and substance. From the gorgeous parquet floors to the mixture of Gustavian and 18th century French antiques, this home is a complete treasure trove of naturally collected curiosities!

In the article Mr. Carretero is quoted as saying: “When all is said and done, more is more and less is a bore.” – which I of course, love!

Do you have any collections? If so, what’s your style when it comes to displaying them? Do you group them all together, or scatter them throughout your home?
